My introduction to this engaging field of Art was through some Botanical Drawing & Painting courses with Lauren Black. I subsequently joined the wonderful and encouraging group of artists which later blossomed into Botaniko.
I have now produced a few works for exhibitions in Tasmania, and the ongoing schedule of exhibitions has given me a strong motivation to continue to improve my skills.
The technical aspects remain constantly interesting and challenging as I endeavour to recreate the fascinating details and colours I see in plants, flowers and trees. I am now focussing on improving my skills through some further Botanical Art study.
